Support for the SDGs

SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) are international goals ranging from 2016 to 2030 as described in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It consists of 17 goals and 169 targets to realize a sustainable world, based on the principle of “leave no one behind”. The SDGs are universal not only in developing countries but also in developed countries. The WAKO GROUP agrees with the principles of the SDGs and will actively work toward achieving them.

Manufacturing concept for elution-suppressing ship bottom antifouling paint
・Through the development and dissemination of ship bottom paints that reduce the release of chemical substances compared to ordinary paints and minimize environmental impact and health hazards to shipbuilders, we intend to create a society where pollution of water sources and marine environments are prevented and ecosystems are safeguarded. 

Manufacturing concept for water-based heat-insulation and sound-insulation paints for buildings
・We aim to realize a society in which CO2 emissions and the effects of climate change can be reduced through the development and dissemination of paints that improve energy efficiency when used to coat objects compared to ordinary paints.
・We aim to realize a society featuring clean water and air, in which hazardous substances are not released into the environment, through the development and dissemination of paints free of organic solvents to minimize environmental impact and health hazards to people who work with it.

Energy development business

SDGS Activities

WAKO GROUP is committed to promoting renewable energy through solar power generation, contributing to CO2 reduction. Our own solar power plants generate over 40 megawatts and construction continues with a target of 100 megawatts. In constructing a solar power plant, we create plants that can be used safely over a long timespan and coexists in harmony with the local community.
